That is because in developed countries like the US people have better access to education and the internet where they educate themselves. Unfortunately in most Muslim countries most people there do not have access to higher education like we do. Christianity's hey day was in the middle ages when most people were illiterate. -

It is funny, most of the comments on here were very negative about what these guys did and the agreement with the majority on here is it was counter productive. I went to the video clip on youtube and it is the other way around, most comments were giving these guys high fives. Maybe most of them were friends of these guys. It is hard to know what the real feeling is with the majority. Anyone that is a JW or not knowing fully what the JW's stand for will only feel sorry for those people present at the kingdum hall. -

i had many clues they were lying about our religion but i failed to see through them because of the pain of admitting we got conned and family pressure from peers stopped me from making a courageous choice.
when i read about people who confronted the elders and won their judicial committees (even though the jw elders df'ed them) my heart goes out to their courage, their amazingly stronger than i will ever be.

I disagree with this statement. Unless we were adults and can make our own decisions, how can we be blamed for being brainwashed as a young child? I think most of us on here were raised in the religion. As soon as I was old enough to reason for myself I started to fade.

Yeah it's not like they ever invade your space at 8 am on a Saturday morning banging on your door and telling you your gonna die if you don't join their club.
This is not the issue here and we should be above that. I do not agree with Muslims belief but I have enough respect not to go into their house of worship and make fun of them.
I loved the composure everybody else maintained. Very dignified indeed.

by ABibleStudent infyi, if you feel that scientology's tax-exempt status should be revoked, you can sign a white house petition to revoke its tax-exempt status at https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/revoke-scientologys-tax-exempt-status.. i signed the petition even though i have mixed feelings about this petition.
i would prefer that dangerous cults like scientology be reformed by suspending its tax-exempt status until it makes needed changes and i do not like targeting a specific organization when the whole system should be changed.
on the other hand this type of action may help to promote debate about revising the tax codes in the us.. i do prefer revising the tax code like i wrote about in revise tax code to protect children from sexual abuse .. peace be with you and everyone, who you love,.

But similar OPs seem to fall into a generational and gender like/dislike of these types of sophomoric actions. In other words, these types of incidents seem to play well with males under the age of 35 or so. I"m watching this as an ex-Dub who has no love for the Dark Lords and I'm feeling sorry for the rank and file at this Memorial.
I think this is a reflection of society as a whole that the younger generation have no respect for anyone. With the advent of the internet, cell phone cameras they think anything is free game to video and post on youtube. If you read my postings you will know I have no love for this cult but as another poster said it made even myself feel sorry for the dubs there. I can picture my elderly mother sitting there and upsetting her.

I have a really silly question- what is with the flowers on the stage? I know in Christian churches it is common place for large arrangements on holidays, why don't jw's consider this being part of the 'world' to do the same? or do they always have flowers?
The witness looks at this as a memorial to Christ death and resurrection. Thus the flowers. I seem to recall at all the memorials I have attended they had flowers. As far as being a worldly custom you have a good point but with witness this is always inconsistent.
I have already stated as being in the camp of NO this is counter productive. Comes across as childish and immature. Reminds me of the time the teen idiots followed us from door to door heckling us. All it did was made us look good in the eyes of the house holders and united us in the fact that we were being persecuted for the "truth".
